Guildford is a historic market town with Saxon roots set amongst the Surrey Hills on the River Wey. Guildford has become one of the biggest towns in Surrey, boasting several multi-national businesses including Phillips Electronics and Ericsson.

 

The town is very popular with a picturesque cobbled high street complemented by a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars. There is a wide range of facilities, from outdoor leisure pursuits to luxury shopping. Sports facilities include the newly built Surrey Sports Park and Spectrum Leisure Centre that offers a variety of activities such as Bowling, Ice Skating and Swimming and is also home to the famous Guildford Flames Ice Hockey Team.

 

Highly rated Surrey University is situated in Guildford along with some renowned state and private schools for all ages.

 

Guildford is steeped in history with many attractions to visit such as Guildford’s Norman Castle and its more modern landmark Cathedral. Another notable place to visit is the River Wey that runs through the centre of Guildford and provides fantastic walks and lovely views.
